The Acting Minister of MRRD launched The Relief Effort for Afghan Communities and Households (DISTARKHWAN MILI) from Nangarhar province
H.E Mujib Rahaman Karim the Acting Minister of MRRD launched on Tuesday the Relief Effort for Afghan Communities and Households (DISTARKHWAN MILI) from Nangarhar province.
This program is supposed to cover 90% of all the country's population in two phases, that In the first phase, aid worth $ 86 million will be distributed to 1.67 million families living in 12896 villages in 34 provinces of the country, and in the second phase, about 2.5 million families in 20,397 other villages will be covered and benefited from worth $ 140.1 million aids.
At the ceremony which held on this occasion in Nangarhar province. Mr. Karimi said that: "In the first phase, the REACH will cover 187,703 families living in 8 districts of Nangarhar province and will distribute $ 9.7 million in aid to them.
According to H.E Mujib-Rahman Karimi, the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development has implemented 202 development projects worth 392 million Afghanis in Nangarhar this year, during of which 276,137 working days were created and after completion, 58,993 The family have been benefited . Meanwhile, implementation of 392 other projects costing of 1 billion and 281 million Afghanis in the irrigation, water supply, transport and renewable energy sectors are currently under way in the province. By implementing the mentioned projects, while creating 524 thousand and 667 working days, 112 thousand and 716 families will be benefited.
In addition, for the year 1400 the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development plans to implement 906 projects in different sectors for Nangarhar province.
