A solar-powered water supply network was handed over and put into use in Kabul province
The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, with the financial support of the (NCA) office, completed the construction of a solar-powered water supply network at a cost of more than 4 million Afghanis in Juibar village of Kalkan district in Kabul province. Today, during a meeting, the completed project was handed over for use by the financial and administrative assistant of this ministry, Alhaj Maulvi Abdul Rahman Halim.
In this meeting, the Deputy Minister of Finance and Administration Alhaj Maulvi Abdul Rahman Halim, Head of the Office of the Governor of Kabul Province Haji Khalil, Head of the Department of Rural rehabilitation and Development of Kabul Province Maulvi Muhammad Yunus Hanafi, Head of office of relations with donors agencies Mullah Noorulhadi Adil, a number of other officials and residents of the said district were participated the meeting.
This network includes the construction of two reservoirs of clean water with a capacity of 40 cubic meters, the extension of a water pipe with a length of 6,243 meters, the installation of 170 taps, and the deployment of 32 solar panels.
During the construction of this network, dozens of workers were employed. Upon completion, 305 families in this village gained access to clean drinking water.
