The implementation of (3) Check dams and alternative projects, with cost of more than 40 million Afghanistan, has commenced in Baghlan province. The Ministry of rural rehabilitation and development initiated these projects, which were inaugurated today through a series of ceremonies.

Acting Minister Alhaj Mullah Muhammad Yunus Akhundzada, along with delegation, commenced the work of this projects.

In this meeting,Acting Minister of the ministry of rural rehabilitation and development Alhaj Mullah Muhammad Yunus Akhundzada, the delegation, The Governor of Baghlan Province Alhaj Maulavi Abdul Rahman Haqqani, the head of electricity of the said province Mullah Sardar Wali Hamza, the district governor of Doshi District Qari Muhammad Yusuf Umar, the head of rural rehabilitation and development of Baghlan Province Maulavi Abdul Wahid Ubaidah, scholars of religion and young people participated.

During implementation of these check dams and projects, hundreds of workers in the area will be provided employment opportunities, and these check dams will retain rainwater, and maintain the groundwater level.
