Hydro Mechanical Engineer

About Ru-WatSIP/MRRD:
Rural Water Supply, Sanitation and Irrigation Programme (Ru-WatSIP) is working in the structure of Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development MRRD as one of the national program. The main responsibility of this Program is provision of safe potable water and sanitation facilities as a basic need for allover rural inhabitants in the country.
In this programme donors such as UNICEF, MoF and SAARC are providing financial assistance to MRRD for capacity building and implementation of water supply projects.
Recently Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development/ Rural Water Supply, Sanitation and Irrigation Programme, through MOF funding launched joint National large scale projects on Drinking Water Supply and irrigation in Badghis province. The implementation will be carried out by construction company (CC) where the daily supervision and regular monitoring is being done by Ru-WatSIP/RRD technical Team.
To ensure that the projects are implemented with quality and planed objectives as per the project document, there is need for hiring a Hydro Mechanical Engineer
Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor and report on progress of construction works with respect to quality of all Hydro mechanical related activities.
Participate in QA/QC meetings to review compliance docs.
Participate in internal and external quality audits as required.
Verify contractor quality requirements are as specified by contractor has approved submittals.
Participating in Hydro mechanical Feature Works’ preparatory meetings.
Coordinate all Hydro mechanical related QA/QC activities with the site QC manager/Engineer
Hydro mechanical Equipment installation inspection of all used metals quality and welding testing should done by contractor.
Document all inspection and testing in QC Daily reports on a daily basis for Hydro mechanical Equipment. 
Serve as the quality control resource for problem identification, resolution, reporting and improvement of Hydro mechanical related matters.
Reports to Chief Engineer on quality issues, problems and trends.
Review of project Hydro mechanical submittals.
Insure that all Hydro mechanical related materials and/or equipment have been tested, submitted and approved.
Any other tasks assigned by the related manager/ supervisor.
Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications, Experience & Skills according to (NTA):
Bachelor degree in Hydro-Mechanical engineering, Hydraulic Structures, Structural Engineering or any other relevant field, master degree is highly preferred. 
 Minimum of 5 years’ similar experience in construction projects Hydro-mechanical issues.
Professional MS Office and AutoCAD, SAP, ANSYS user and familiar all types tests on welding quality.
Outstanding interpersonal and team management skills;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Working knowledge of Native language
Reporting line:
The Hydro Mechanical Engineer will report to Project Manager
