Construction of the second part of a 2.012 - km irrigation canal worth 44 million Afghanis has been 40 % completed by the National Rural Access Program of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development in the seven villages. Shurarigh, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan around Sheberghan, the provincial center of Jawzjan province,

During the construction of this canal, many working have been created and with its completion, 3200 hectares of the agricultural land will be covered with regular irrigation and 2400 families will be benefited from the facilities.
