Work progress of a 314- meter retaining wall construction project costing 13 million Afghanis in Badakhshan

With the total cost of 13 million AFN, construction of a 314- meter protective wall has been 40 % completed by the Regional Programs Coordination Office of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development in Samati village the provincial center of Badakhshan province.

During the implementation of this project, 8747 working days were created and after its completion, 4200 locals will be benefited from the facilities.

It is worth mentioning that with the construction of the mentioned wall, hundreds of hectares of the agricultural lands and residential houses will be protected from the floods.
