Work Begins on a Large Gabion Wall in Helmand Province by the Honorable Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development

The work on the construction of a large gabion wall in the Qala Gaz area of Grishk District, Helmand Province, was inaugurated today by His Excellency the Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, Alhaj Mullah Mohammad Younus Akhundzada, during a ceremony. The project, with an estimated cost of 72 million Afghanis, will span approximately 3,200 meters in length.

The ceremony was attended by His Excellency the Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, Alhaj Mullah Mohammad Younus Akhundzada, his deputy, the Governor of Helmand Province, Hajji Mullawi Amanuddin Mansoor, the Director of Rural Rehabilitation and Development for the province, Mullah Mahmood Sani, the District Governor of Grishk, Hajji Mawlawi Sahib, and a number of other officials, religious scholars, elders, and youth.

At the ceremony, the Honorable Minister delivered a valuable speech, stating: "We will provide services to the people of the country in accordance with our responsibility, in order to solve the problems of the citizens, especially those in rural communities."

During the construction of this gabion wall, work opportunities will be provided for hundreds of laborers. Upon its completion, it will protect hundreds of acres of agricultural land, orchards, and residential homes in the area from the damage of floods and seasonal rains.
