A solar-powered water supply network handed over in Khost province

solar-powered water supply networks has been recently completed and handed over through the national Rural Water Supply, Sanitation and Irrigation Program (Ru-WatSIP) of Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) in Shadal village of Ismail Khel (Mandozi) district of Khost province.
The project cost 3.5 million AFN which were funded through the State budget by Ministry of Finance (MoF). The project included digging of a 108-meter deep well, extension of a 2,600-meter long pipe network, construction of a 20,000-liter reservoir and installation of 79 taps, 27 solar panels and water pump. The project was implemented by “Shadal” Community Development Council (CDC) through Ru-WatSIP of MRRD in four months.
