A potable water supply network construction project costing 37.5 million AFN handed over in Ghor province
With the total cost of 37 million AFN, funded by USAID/UNICEF, the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Program (Ru-WatSP) of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) completed and handed over a gravity-fed water supply network in “Shahrak e Muhajireen” area located in Firuzkuh, the provincial capital of Ghor province.
With the completion of this network, around 2,000 people got access to clean drinking water. The project included the construction of springs and water reservoirs, installation of a 4,500-meter long pipes network, and 1,550 taps inside homes and some other activities. The construction affairs of this project also created as many as 11,600 working days for the residents of that.
