Two water supply projects handed over in center of Urozgan Province

 At a total cost of 5,371,000 AFN, funded by UNICEF, two solar-powered water supply networks have been recently accomplished and handed over in “Sola” and “Shaheedan” villages in Tarinkot, the provincial capital of Urozgan province.
By the construction of these water supply networks, which were constructed by the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Program (Ru-WatSP) of Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD), 450 families got access to clean drinking water.
The water supply network of “Sola” village was 4,350-meter long and it included a 32-cubic meter water reservoir and 150 taps; while the second network was 2,280-meter long and included a 32-cubic meter reservoir and 52 taps. It is worth mentioning that these projects were executed through the local Community Development Councils.
