Handing over of a drinking water supply project costing 4 million AFN in Nangarhar province
the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Program (Ru-WatSP) of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) constructed and handed over a solar-powered water supply network worth four million AFN in “Aka kheal ” village located in Goshtat district, of Nangarhar province.
The project included; digging of one deep water well, construction of one elevated water reservoir and a protective fence for the solar panels, setting up a three-kilometer pipes network, and installation of 18 solar panels and other essential equipment.
It is worthy to be mentioned that the construction affairs of this project created as many as 2,500 working days for the residents of the mentioned area and after its completion 200 families have gotten access to safe drinking water.
