The foundation stone of this sacred mosque was laid by the Honorable Alhaj Mullah Mohammad Younus Akhundzada, Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development; Mawlawi Sharafuddin Muslim, Deputy Minister for Planning and Policy of the Ministry; their accompanying delegation; and Mawlawi Asadullah Hamza, Head of the Rural Rehabilitation and Development Directorate of Jowzjan Province.

It is planned that this grand mosque will be constructed at a cost of approximately one million Afghanis and will have the capacity to accommodate about 100 worshippers at one time.
