The construction of a water dam in Naw-e District of Ghazni Province has begun

The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development has laid the foundation stone for a water dam in Faizo village of Naw-e District, Ghazni province, with an approximate budget of 19 million Afghanis. The ceremony was attended by the Acting Minister of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, Al Haj Mullah Mohammad Younus Akhundzada, along with his delegation.
In the meeting, the Acting Minister of the Ministry, Alhaj Mullah Mohammad Younus Akhundzada, the director of Rural Rehabilitation and Development of Ghazni province Mullah Mohammad Qasim Amini, the District Governor of Naw-e, local scholars, elders, and youth participated.
During the ceremony, Acting Minister Al Haj Mullah Mohammad Younus Akhundzada addressed the people of Naw-e District, stating: "Every village in Naw-e district was a center for the Mujahideen. You are the people who stood shoulder to shoulder with the Mujahideen at all times. Now, we are here to serve you and, with our available resources, we will address your issues."
The water dam will be 210 meters long, 6 meters high, and have a storage capacity of 30,000 cubic meters of water. During its construction, it will provide employment opportunities for dozens of workers, and upon completion, it will help manage the rainfall and maintain the groundwater levels in the villages.
