Clean drinking water provided for 390 families in Nangarhar province
With the total cost of 3, 3 million AFN funded through the State budget of Afghanistan, The Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Program (Ru-WatSP) of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) constructed and recently handed over a solar-powered water supply network in Shikh Mesari Ahmad Zayi village in Surkhrod district of Nangarhar province.
The project included the digging of one deep well, construction of one water reservoir and protection fence for the solar panels, and installation of a 2,000-meter long pipes network and other essential parts. The working affairs of this project also created as many as 2,000 working days for the local residents.
