Clean drinking water provided for 210 families in Nangarhar province

At a total cost of 4,231,000 AFN, a solar-powered water supply network has been recently completed and handed over in “Haidar Jan” village in Nazyan district of Nangarhar province. With the accomplishment of this project, which was implemented by the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Program (Ru-WatSP) of Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD), around 210 families in “Haidar Jan” village got access to clean drinking water. The project included digging of one deep well, construction of one 20-cubic meter water reservoir, extension of a 3,335-meter pipe network and installation of 27 solar panels and 90 taps. It is worth mentioning that the construction affair of the project created as many as 1,955 lobar days for residents of the mentioned district.
