A solar-powered water supply network handed over in Kunar province

With the total cost of 2,978,000 AFN, funded by UNICEF, a solar-powered water supply network has been recently completed and handed over through the national Rural Water Supply, Irrigation and Sanitation Program (Ru-WatSIP) of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) in Khani Ba Ba village of Sarkano district of Kunar province. The water supply network had 1800 meters length, a 20-cubic meter water reservoir and 20 taps. With the completion of this water supply network, over 70 families got access to clean drinking water.
