About RPCO/MRRD:

The Mission of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) is to ensure the social, economic, and political welfare of rural society, especially poor and vulnerable people, through the provision of basic services, strengthening local governance, and promoting sustainable livelihoods.  MRRD accomplishes this mission through donor funded national programs in the areas of governance, infrastructure and economic growth.

The Regional Programs Coordination Office (RPCO) was established in the MRRD compound in 2007 as one of the largest rural support program in terms of scope and coverage area, working across the county. RPCO created a platform for sustainable community - based participatory irrigation infrastructure rehabilitation and development to increase farmers’ access to irrigation systems. The Goal of RPCO is to reduce poverty through implementation of productive infrastructures in rural communities. The purpose is poverty alleviation - enabling people to break the cycle of poverty, which begins with lack of opportunity, low income, extends to the well-known miseries of economic and nutritional poverty and leads new generations to endure the same conditions.

Job Description:

Duties & Responsibilities

At all-time drive in a safe and courteous manner observing speed limits.

Cooperate with guards on security checks when entering an MRRD and RRD compounds.

Ensure the good condition of vehicle and conduct vehicle check on a daily basis.

Ensure that all passengers follow project vehicle policy and procedures-seat belts on, doors locked windows up.

Ensure only project/staff and authorized visitors travel in vehicle

Ensure timely submission of required paperwork

Ensure maintenance of fuel level for security reasons vehicle must be refueled at end of day

Ensure the safety of project vehicles outside the MRRD compound – vehicles are never to be left unattended.

Ensure the Security of tool kits and First Aid Kits issued daily.

Check oil level daily.

Check the water level in the radiator daily.

Check the tire pressure on all 5 tires weekly.

Check the water level in window washing dispenser daily.

Check the heating/air conditioning system weekly.

Clean the vehicle inside and out daily.

Help all passengers carry any items to and from the vehicles.

Any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor or Senior Staff Management

Job Requirements:

Qualifications/ Experience, Skills & Abilities Required::

At least should have 6 year primary education, High School graduates will be preferred.

At least two years previous experience at an organization or NGO.

Languages required Dari, Pashto and English would consider highly.

Proven excellent in performance of responsibilities.

Organizing ability and willingness to work

Flexibility in understanding and accepting any kind of assignment.

Capable of working in a multi-national /cultural environment.

Reliable, honest and able to work under pressure.

Driving license is a must.
