A solar – powered water supply network handed over in Kuner province

With the total cost of 4.9 million Afghanis, funded by UNICEF, a solar-powered water supply network has been recently completed and handed over in “Soyer Dag” village in Asmar district of Kunar province. This drinking water network consists of a 2,800-meter long pipe network, a 30-cubic meter water reservoir and 23 taps. With the accomplishment of this network, over 300 families got access to clean drinking water.
During the implementation of the mentioned project, 120 lobar days were created. The project was executed by “Soyer Dag” Community Development Council (CDC) through the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Program (Ru-WatSP) of Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD).
