A Water Dam In Faryab Province Handed Over for Public Use
The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development has completed the construction of a water dam in Qara Sheikhi village, Khwaja Sabz Posh district of Faryab province, at a total cost of over 6.1 million Afghanis. The project was officially inaugurated and handed over for public use today in a ceremony attended by the Honorable Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, Alhaj Mullah Muhammad Younus Akhundzada.
The ceremony was attended by the Honorable Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, Alhaj Mullah Muhammad Younus Akhundzada; the Governor of Faryab province, Mawlawi Abdul Ahad Fazli; accompanying delegates; the Head of the Ulema Council, Mawlawi Abdul Jalil Shaheedkhil; the Provincial Director of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, Mawlawi Alawuddin Haqparast; as well as a number of other officials, religious scholars, elders, and youth.
During the ceremony, the Honorable Minister delivered a valuable speech, stating: “It is our duty to protect the Islamic system. The demand of the Islamic system is that justice should prevail throughout the country, and where there is justice, there will be no problems.”
The Minister further added that, in line with its commitments, the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development has successfully implemented various development projects in remote areas of the country according to the needs and requests of the local people.
The dam is 41.5 meters long, 3 meters high, and 18 meters wide. During its construction, employment opportunities were provided for dozens of workers, and upon completion, the dam will irrigate hundreds of jeribs of agricultural land in the mentioned village.
