Foundation Stone Laid for a Clean Drinking Water Supply Network for Returning Refugees in Kunduz Province

The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development has laid the foundation stone for the construction of a clean drinking water supply network in the township of returning refugees in Chahar Dara district of Kunduz province.

The project, costing more than 3 million Afghanis, was officially inaugurated by the Honorable Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, Alhaj Mullah Mohammad Younus Akhundzada.

The ceremony was attended by the Honorable Minister Alhaj Mullah Mohammad Younus Akhundzada and his accompanying delegation, the Head of the Kunduz Provincial Directorate of Rural Rehabilitation and Development Mawlawi Asadullah Hamid, along with a number of other officials, religious scholars, elders, and youth.

The project includes drilling a 130-meter-deep well, installing 22 solar panels, and constructing a 20-cubic-meter clean water storage tank.

During the implementation phase, dozens of laborers will be employed, and upon completion, 300 families in the township will gain access to clean drinking water.
