Implementation of a development project worth 30 million Afghanis begun with the laying of its foundation stone by the Regional Programs Coordination Office of Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) in Zabti mani Meton area the provincial center of Khost province,

This project includes the construction of 103 meters canals, 55 meters intake, 60 meters side walls and 400 meters protective walls that during the implementation of the mentioned project 6144 working days will be created for workers.

By the implementation of this project, 50 hectares of the agricultural lands will be irrigated, 19 hectares of land will be protected from floods risk and 1680 villagers will be benefited.

It is worth mentioning that the implementation of this project will make the barren lands of the region re-cultivable, covered with regular irrigation, and through this, the level of agricultural production of the people will increase, and significant positive changes in their economic situation will be revealed.
