MRRD signs contract for 55 development projects

The contract for 55 development projects was signed today between H.E Mujib Rahman Karimi the Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) and Community Development Councils CDCs

These projects include ; construction of Careaz , water supply networks , irrigation Canals , school buildings , protective walls,  roads , bridges and  mosque which will be implemented in 14 provinces (Badghiz , Baghlan, Ghor, Kabul , Kandahar , Panjshire , Logar , Samangan, Takhar  , Khust ,Noristan , Paktia , Paktika and Zabul ).

In the ceremony which was held on this occasion, H.E Mujib Rahman Karimi the Minister of MRRD said that these projects cost AFNS 5522 million funded by the Regional Program of MRRD. Ten percent of the cost of the projects (38 million AFNS)   will be paid by the locals and Ministry of   Finance will support the rest of the budget.

According to the Minister of MRRD of these projects, 16 are Careaz construction projects which have a key role in access to drinking water and agriculture.

By the implementation of the mentioned projects 144 thousand lobar days will be created and more than 147 villagers will be benefited.

It is worth to be mentioned at a cost of AFNs billion 6, 1213 development projects have been implemented through the National Regional Program of MRRD that have created approximately two and half million lobar days and have had  6 million beneficiaries.
