Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development in Possible Cooperation with the Republic of Korea Is Going To Implement a Solar Power Project in Four Provinces of the Country

H.E Mujib Rahman Karimi the Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development met in his office today with Rhee Zha Hyoung, the ambassador of the Republic of Korea.
In this meeting the Minister of MRRD thanked the Republic of Korea and its people for the financial assistance provided and suggested to the Ambassador to cooperate in providing hydro and solar power in remote areas of the Country and in the capacity building section, and to increase their scholarships and collaboration with the library of the Rural Development institute.
The Korean Ambassador said that he would consider the suggestions, including the one to provide one megawatt solar power in cooperation with MRRD for Kandahar and Khost provinces, 600 Kilowatt hydropower for Parwan and 450 Kilowatt solar power for Baghlan provinces.
It is worth to be stated that currently distribution of electricity for 2000 families and 14 hospitals in Nangarhar province is ongoing with the financial support of the Republic of Korea.
