Clean drinking water provided for 400 families, 1200 students in khust province
At a cost of AFNs four million funded by the Ministry of Finance (MoF), The Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Program (Ru-WatSP) of Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) constructed and handed over a solar-powered water supply network in “Kundi Matoon village located in center of Khost province.
The project included digging a deep well, extension of a 3,000-meter long pipe network, construction of a 20,000-liter elevated water reservoir and a 6,000-liter water reservoir in girls’ school and installation of 30 solar panels and 84 taps. With the completion of this project, around 400 families in “Kundi” village and 1200 students of a Girls School got access to clean drinking water.
The total outlay of the project was 4.0 million AFN, which was given by Ministry of Finance (MoF).
