The Acting Minister of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development Met with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Afghanistan and Head of UNAMA, Ms. Roza Otunbayeva

Today, the Honorable Minister of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, Alhaj Mullah Mohammad Younus Akhundzada, met with Ms. Roza Otunbayeva, the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Afghanistan and Head of UNAMA, along with her accompanying delegation, at his office.
During the meeting, Ms. Roza Otunbayeva expressed her satisfaction with the visit and stated that they would continue providing assistance to Afghanistan in areas such as clean water supply, healthcare, and other sectors, particularly for returnees, emphasizing the continuation of their support.
Following that, the Acting Minister, Alhaj Mullah Mohammad Younus Akhundzada, welcomed the guests and expressed his appreciation for the ongoing cooperation of the UNAMA office, which has provided and maintained support even during challenging times. He also mentioned that work would soon begin on constructing clean water supply networks in townships for returning refugees.
Furthermore, the Minister emphasized that, alongside humanitarian aid, attention should also be given to fundamental and public-benefit projects, and that all activities should be coordinated with the Ministry to ensure responsibilities are properly fulfilled and balanced development reaches all citizens.
At the end of the meeting, both sides emphasized on continued cooperations.
