An irrigation Canal costing 1.7 million AFN handed over in Herat province

Construction of an agricultural irrigation Canal worth 1.7 million AFN, has been completed and handed over by the Citizens’ Charter National Priority Program of Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) in Safarkhan village located in Zinda Jan district of Herat province.

This canal is 310 meters long and during its construction, working opportunities were created for 800 villagers.

It is worth to be stated that by the accomplishment of the mentioned Canal, 150 hectares of the agricultural lands have been covered by regular irrigation and 250 families have been benefited.
