Implementation of a 99- km road construction project costing 90 million Afghanis began in Sar-e Pol province

With the total outlay of 90 million AFN, implementation of a 99 km of rural road construction project has been started by the Citizens’ Charter National priority Program of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development in the Shirmah areas located in capital of Sar-e-Pul province.
The project will be implemented in two phases, the first phase which includes the construction of 62 km of roads in 23 villages has been started and the second phase of procurement works, which includes the construction of another 37 km of roads in 16 villages, is underway.
It is worth mentioning that the construction of these roads will solve a large part of the transportation problems of more than 10,000 families living in Shirmah.
