The Foundation Stone for the Construction of Retaining Walls Was Laid by the Honorable Minister of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development in Farah Province
The Honorable Minister of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, Al-Hajj Mullah Muhammad Younus Akhundzada, laid the foundation stone for the construction of retaining walls in the villages of Bagh Kafi, Charbagh, Zorya, Haji Mohammad Abad Baghpal, and Haidar Quli, located in the center of Farah Province.
These retaining walls will be built with funding from the Islamic Emirate’s budget, costing more than 60 million Afghanis and covering a total length of 2,390.5 meters. The ceremony for laying the foundation stone was held today in a formal gathering.
The ceremony was attended by the Honorable Minister Al-Hajj Mullah Muhammad Younus Akhundzada and his accompanying delegation, the Deputy Governor of Farah Province Al-Hajj Mawlawi Rahimullah Mahmood, the Director of Information and Culture Mawlawi Abdul Hai Sabawoon, the Director of Tribes and Clans Al-Hajj Mawlawi Tajuddin Mansoor, the Director of Rural Rehabilitation and Development Al-Hajj Mufti Muhammad Naseem Sarhang, as well as a number of other officials, religious scholars, elders, and youth.
During the event, the Honorable Minister delivered a valuable speech, saying:
“The demand of the Islamic system is that peace should prevail in the country and responsibilities should be given to those who are qualified. The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development always strives to implement development projects throughout the country, especially in areas where there is a need.”
During the construction of these retaining walls, job opportunities will be created for hundreds of workers. Upon completion, hundreds of acres of agricultural land, orchards, and residential houses in the mentioned villages will be protected from the damage caused by floods and seasonal rains.
