A gravity-fed water supply network handed over in Paktia province

The national Rural Water Supply, Sanitation and Irrigation Program (Ru-WatSIP) of Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) completed the construction of and handed over a water supply network in Amir Khil village of Zazi Aryub district of Paktia province.

Costing 3.9 million AFN, which were funded by UNICEF, with the fulfillment of this project, over 280 families were provided with clean drinking water.

The project included construction of three 15-cubic meter reservoirs and installation of 7,000 long pipe and 28 taps.

The project was implemented by Gharbi Amir Khil Community Development Council (CDC) in six months.
