Inauguration of Development Projects in Herat Province

Ten projects completed worth of AFN 27 million and 480 thousand in Kohsan and Kurkh districts of Herat province benefiting 3000 rural families from the facilities of drinking water and electricity.
These projects include four micro hydro-power plants, five water supply networks and one bath that recently been handed-over by the NSP/MRRD in a ceremony participated by Director of Heart Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department Aqa Mohammad Sediqi, members of District Development Assemblies (DDA’s) and Community Development Councils (CDC’s), elders and influential’s of Kohsan and Kurkh districts with 10% community contribution.
Sultan Mohammad said regard the water supply and electricity network of Rubbat village in Kurkh district:
Residents of our village were face with problems in term of lacking water, National Solidarity Program of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development cooperated with us by the creation of Community Development Council (CDC), in consultation with Women Council they priorities the problems and proposed the projects of water supply network and electricity. All the residents of the village took an active part in project work, fortunately 106 families of this village benefits the facilities of safe drinking water.
