In this project 107-kilometer rural roads were repaired, 825-meter irrigation canals and 760 cubic meter water reservoirs were cleaned in various villages of Roee Dwab district of Samangan province.
Roee Dwab district is most mountainous, therefore during the rains and flash floods in the spring season the rural roads and irrigation canals of the said district gets destroyed.
The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) with the cooperation of World Food Program (WFP) in order to solve the problems of rural people have been implemented more projects under the terms of Work for Food and have paved the ground for temporary job opportunities through the implementation of emergency schemes.
